Overview

An airtight glass jar is the final container for a dried harvest. Glass does not hold odours or react with contents, and a good gasket seal keeps humidity out for months. Store jars somewhere dark and cool, because light and warmth both accelerate the decline of flavour and potency.

Primary stage: Processing

Where it fits in the grow

Used after drying to store finished material long term.

Safety & handling

Never seal a jar while the contents are still warm. Trapped heat creates condensation on the glass, which is exactly the moisture you spent hours removing.

Practical advice

Open stored jars for a minute once a week in the first month. Any warmth, sweetness, or clumping inside means the material was not dry enough to store.
